Lululemon "Beauty in Process"

Matte Black came to us with a campaign for the Lululemon highlighted three new processes that were being implemented into their apparel. From knitted jacquard to hand-tied shibori to perfectly-placed prints, the ‘Beauty in Process’ campaign celebrated the new print and dye techniques. We found parallels between the movement of detail of the techniques and visually compared them with the physicality of the athletes.

This was a full court press rollout campaign and we were proud to be a part of it!

Processes

Lululemon introduced three new processes for their designs and fabrics. We built individual videos that highlighted each of these new processes for use in sales, social media, and beyond. "From knitted jacquard to hand-tied shibori to perfectly-placed prints, we're bringing new ways to feel your best while you sweat."

Process: Jacquard

Feel your strongest in our jacquard collection. Nylon yarn, dyed and then knitted, allows the beauty and detail of jacquard to move along with you.

Process: Prints

How photo-real prints come to life through both artistry and process.

Process: Dyes

We started a new practice of hand-tied shibori and carefully-dipped ombre to bring you new ways to take your asana to a deeper level.
